Kunstgras is tegenwoordig steeds populairder geworden en dat vinden we helemaal niet gek. Natuurlijk blijft het een kwestie van persoonlijke voorkeur, maar wat ons betreft wegen de voordelen zwaarder dan de nadelen! Zo bespaar je met kunstgras niet alleen tijd en geld uit, maar ziet het er ook nog eens fraai uit. Nog niet overtuigd? In dit artikel delen we vijf voordelen van kunstgras in de tuin!
1. Bespaart water
In Nederland mag het dan wel vaak regenen, maar met een echte grasmat moet je dan nog steeds regelmatig zelf bewateren. We hebben namelijk ieder jaar wel periodes waarin het weken niet regent en dan moet de sproeier toch echt een keer aan. Met kunstgras heb je dit probleem gelukkig niet, want kunstgras heeft uiteraard geen water nodig!
2. Geen schadelijke stoffen
Met kunstgras heb je geen last van onkruid, dus hoef je ook niet in de weer met pesticiden, mest en onkruidverdelgers. Dit is uiteraard een stuk gezonder als je een moestuintje hebt en dus groene en fruit uit eigen tuin eet. Ook voor kinderen is het veiliger om in de tuin te spelen als je geen schadelijke stoffen gebruikt.
3. Vrijwel geen onderhoud
We hebben zojuist al gezegd dat je geen water meer hoeft te geven als je kunstgras hebt. Echter is water geven niet de enige klus die je niet meer hoeft uit te voeren als je voor kunstgras kiest. Zo hoef je het gras niet meer te maaien, wat uiteraard ook veel tijd bespaart!
4. Altijd een fraai gazon
Een grasveld heeft een rustige uitstraling en dit komt door de groene kleur. Gelukkig maar dat een gazon van kunstgras altijd groen is en blijft! Ook als je een paar keer vergeet om water te geven, blijven de grassprietjes nog steeds groen en kun je het hele jaar door genieten van een fraai aangezicht. Het is dus dubbel genieten in een tuin die altijd mooi blijft, ongeacht hoeveel tijd en moeite je erin steekt!
5. Kunstgras gaat lang mee
Je vraagt je misschien af hoe het komt dat je met kunstgras geld bespaart, want in het algemeen zijn de kosten om kunstgras aan te schaffen hoger dan echt gras zelf zaaien. Het zit zo: kunstgras gaat veel langer mee dan echt gras, zonder dat je daar extra geld in moet steken. Zo hoef je geen water te gebruiken en hoef je ook geen mest, kalk en een grasmaaier meer aan te schaffen. Wat dat betreft is kunstgras dus goedkoper!
